Dr. Brooks provides comprehensive eye care services including routine examinations to patients of any age. He specializes in scleral lenses and other specialty contacts for the treatment of keratoconus, corneal transplants, severe dry eyes, and other irregular corneal conditions. He has considerable experience with pre and post-op surgical patients (primarily cataracts and LASIK). Dr. Brooks treats patients with urgent eye conditions as well as chronic eye diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Brooks has practiced optometry in Fort Myers since 2006. He worked for ophthalmologist Mark Gorovoy, MD for seven years before deciding to leave and start Brooks Eye Care in 2013. From 2013 until 2016 he worked with an organization that provided eye exams and glasses to low-income pre-K through high school-aged children. Dr. Brooks also worked part-time at a LASIK surgery center from 2016 until 2020 providing pre and post-op care to refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Brooks grew up in several western states (mainly Washington State). He lived in Brazil for two years and speaks Portuguese and Spanish. He graduated from Boise State University in Idaho and Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been married to Jenifer since 1998. He enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his wife and four children.
